Adam Payne

Adam Payne is the Sheboygan County Administrator and began his duties in January 1999. As the Chief Administrative Officer of Sheboygan County, Adam coordinates and directs the administrative and management functions of the County’s 19 Departments, comprised of 850 employees, 200 programs and services, and an annual budget of $182 million. Adam has a Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Prior to accepting his present position, Adam worked for the State Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, and was the Executive Director of the Wisconsin Land and Water Conservation Association.

Adam and his wife Kris are high school sweethearts, UW alumni, and have three children and two grandchildren.

Adam is an active member of Sheboygan Rotary, the Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce, Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors, United Way, and the Winooski Bowmen Archery Club. Adam coached basketball for a number of years, and enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing racquetball with family and friends.
