Extension’s Board of Visitors serves as an external advisory body to the Dean, and is an important link between Extension and its external audiences, providing an independent assessment of key factors that determine the overall success of Extension. The Board’s role is to advise the institution on its overall strategy, with a focus on Extension’s current priorities. The Board is a representative group of Extension constituents and partners who can provide guidance on statewide priorities, ongoing operations, new initiatives, funding opportunities, partner development and communications; this group could also advocate on behalf of Extension. Members are invited based on their expertise in critical areas of importance to the institution, and because of their value in providing sound advice and counsel.
