Cathy Schmit has served as the County Administrator of Green Lake County Wisconsin since 2016. Prior to that she held administrator positions in Monroe County Wisconsin and the Village of Holmen located in beautiful La Crosse County Wisconsin. She has previously served as a WCMA regional representative.

Cathy has also held management positions in the Columbia County Wisconsin finance department, private healthcare administration and Cenex Land O’Lakes.

She holds an associate’s degree in accounting from Madison Area Technical College – Fond du Lac, a bachelor’s degree in business from Marian College – Fond du Lac, and a master’s degree from Lakeland University – Sheboygan.

Cathy and her husband Joe make their home on the shores of beautiful Green Lake and have 3 children, Josh, Erin and Cameron. They enjoy spending every free moment with their 4 grandchildren Alia, Mason, Keagan and Isabel.

Cathy enjoys travelling to the warm climates, enthusiastically cheering on all Wisconsin sports teams and spending as much time as possible enjoying the lake life.
